The Marshall House's Broughton Balcony Rooms are the absolute most unique rooms and are a Savannah Experience in and of themselves. These six guest rooms open onto a wrought-iron veranda spanning the front of the hotel.
Outfitted with rocking chairs, ceiling fans and hanging flower baskets, the balcony is semi-private, as only guests who reserve one of the Broughton Balcony King Rooms can gain access, charmingly enough, through the rooms' large raised windows. This unusual entrance was designed in the 1850s, and is original to the hotel.
Quite popular with wedding parties, newly married couples and a favorite "photo op" location for private weddings held at The Marshall House, these rooms are a unique Savannah treat for the guests who reserve them.
Imagine their popularity on St. Patrick's Day. These rooms book-up a year in advance, but you can enjoy them easily about any other time of the year with an advanced reservation.
The Broughton Balcony King Rooms have been featured on the Travel Channel's Great Hotels with Samantha Brown, and are definitely our most popular and most often-requested room style.
