Samantha Brown, host of The Travel Channel's popular show Great Hotels, is well-known for touring some of the country's finest hotels. For the show, Samantha visited The Marshall House, and stayed in one of the hotel's Broughton Balc. Rooms, which features a classic Savannah balcony overlooking Broughton Street. Her on-camera tour of the hotel includes the Library, suites and guest rooms, with special attention to the amenities, architectural details and fun facts. On camera and off, Samantha befriends hotel employees and shares her humor and style with The Marshall House.
While Samantha took a break from the hospitality of The Marshall House, we asked her a few questions about her stay:
MH: Samantha, we had so much fun this weekend with your visit to The Marshall House. And, we were obviously thrilled to be filmed for Great Hotels. What was your favorite part of The Marshall House?
SB: Definitely the guest rooms. I remember getting the P.R. packet a week before we arrived and when I saw the rooms I became so excited. After almost 70 hotels, here was a room I had never seen before. It offered such wonderful and personal touches.
MH: You've stayed at many of the very finest inns and hotels in America. What did you find special or unique about The Marshall House?
SB: The details. I thought the library was beautiful with all the wood-work, and the Lobby as well. You can tell that no expense was spared to make The Marshall House a special place to stay.
