"We loved Marshall House...a charming, well maintained property. I'll admit I'm fussy when it comes to hotels...and I could find no fault here!Attention to detail... Clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, lovely common rooms, large room, fabulous location. Walking distance to all squares and attractions. The breakfast offered a good selection. Fresh lemonade to greet us when we returned after a day of sightseeing....The afternoon wine and cheese reception gave us a chance to visit and rest before heading out to dinner. The staff were all so friendly and helpful...they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed."  --April 18, 2013

" I was taken to Savannah by my two best buds to celebrate my 60th birthday. I can't say enough about what a fabulous experience Marshall House was. We were greeted so warmly by Terry who took care of our car for us and we were treated like honored guests by Charles at the front desk.  Our room was quiet, spacious and spotlessly clean.  Thoughtfully provided bottles of water, plenty of towels and toiletries for three women and clean, clean clean. Our first evening began at the complementary happy hour though we quickly moved into the bar where we were ably taken care of by James.  Then it was off to our room and as we slipped between fabulously soft sheets on our incredibly comfortable bed (and did I mention how clean it was) we fell asleep to absolute silence. Woke up to a delightful breakfast and Carlton (the doorman for all your Rhoda fans) started our day with a smile. You can really tell that the employees at this hotel love working here and they make their guests feel that enjoyment in every interaction."  --April 10, 2013

"This is a fabulously historic old hotel in the middle of Savannah's busy and beautiful downtown area. The Marshall is stunning - it is beautifully decorated and retains a very high standard of old world antebellum charm with its appointed rooms, decorative objects, and furnishings. The staff is friendly and very helpful with any questions or concerns you may have, and are always quick with a kind word or suggestion for dinner, etc. I immediately felt welcome, and was amazed that such a small hotel offered such world-class amenities as free wi-fi (no password needed, thank god) and evening wine and cheese get-togethers in the main room. By far, this was the high point of our stay, since the wine flowed freely and the room seemed to glow with all the energy of the guests and patrons. I would stay at the Marshall House again and recommend it highly, especially if you're lucky enough to get a room facing the busy Main Street - these apparently have wrought iron patios! Great experience."  --March 7, 2013

"You can't improve on perfection! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were graciously served by the entire staff. The ambience of the public areas and the rooms is so relaxing, welcoming and tasteful in decor. The option of the prepay discount makes it a great value and the staff makes it a great experience"  --March 1, 2013

"On February 25, 2013 my husband and I stayed at the Marshall House while visiting Savannah for the first time. We were impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the entire hotel staff and the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Loaded with Southern charm and hospitality. Our room was spotless and our king size bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was in a lovely atrium and the food was excellent. Wine and cheese was served from 5:30 to 7PM - lovely way to start the evening. We will definitely visit Savannah again and enjoy all the amenities of the Marshall House."  --February 25, 2013

"At the last minute, I tried to book a room at the Marshall House, but nothing was left except the Mary Marshall Suite. So we booked that one. I'm SO GLAD we got to stay here -- it was absolutely fabulous. This is an historic hotel, and it is an amazing experience for those of us who are true history buffs. We could climb out a window from our room onto the balcony, and we brought some food out there and ate dinner. It was so fun to just sit there in a rocker, watch the Savannah traffic, and enjoy the grace and beauty of historic Savannah. Normally, we would not spend quite this much on a hotel, but honestly, I have no regrets because the hotel was more than just a place to sleep -- truly a unique experience that I will always remember. Marshall House has a doorman named Mr. Carlton whom our family dearly loved. He is a gentleman of the very highest order who welcomed us like we were royalty. God bless this amazing man. If only everybody had his kindness and humility."  --February 22, 2013

"This may be the best experience I have ever had at any hotel. The staff was warm, friendly and accommodating. I arrived early and they not only were able to get me into my room early, but they had a room with balcony access available for just a wee bit more per night. (After seeing the balcony, I'll never make a reservation for a room without access to it!) The room was immaculate! It was very clean, well decorated and inviting. I was thrilled to find the bed comfortable, good pillows and the room surprisingly quiet. The complimentary breakfast is standard with the exception of the lovely quiche's offered each morning. The stand out for me were the valet/bell hop/ door men. I wanted to hug them all as I departed as I felt like they had become my friends. Maybe it was because I was travelling by myself, but they all seemed to take a big-brother attitude towards me. I can honestly say I will return to Savannah and I will not consider staying anywhere else unless I bring my dog (pets are not welcome at Marshall House.)"  --February 19, 2013

""All you need to know is this is the 4th time I've stayed at this hotel. I first visited Savannah a few years ago as part of a multi city road-trip. My friend and I stayed at the Marshall House and absolutely loved it. Since then I have made it my business to get back to Savannah whenever I could, and I have always stayed at the Marshall House. I recently stayed there again for the fourth time, this time with my wife and another couple. We love everything about this place. It feels like old Savannah. It is very charming and has its own personality in a way a chain hotel wouldn't. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was a bit small, but I think that it to be expected at such an old hotel. We loved that they had a wine and cheese reception in the parlor one of the nights we stayed. I know it made me feel a lot fancier than I am. Another great thing about the Marshall House is the location. It is right in the middle of the historic district of Savannah. You are only a few blocks from River Street, and Broughton Street which is where the Marshall House is has a lot of great shopping and restaurants itself. Also, I am a person who is very particular about sleep. Even though the Marshall House is in a great location, I could never hear any street noise at all. If you're visiting Savannah, stay at the Marshall House. You will absolutely love it!"  --February 8, 2013

"The very best part of the stay was the great attitudes of the staff. They always seemed happy to see us, they answered all of our questions and, by the time we left, we felt like family! My favorite moment was when a guest asked if he could take his glass of wine to his room (during the wine/cheese reception) and the staff member said something like, "It's your home! Make yourself comfortable!" That was such a positive and friendly response. I really enjoyed every time I encountered the valets - although Armando (I hope that's right) helped us and was always delightful, each one had a GREAT attitude!"  --January 15, 2013

"Let me start by saying thank you for making our first trip to Savannah so enjoyable. We came to tour SCAD and were overwhelmed at the kindness of the employees. John went above and beyond I must say. We also would like to thank you for equipping your ADA compliant rooms with roll in showers, shower chairs and hand held shower wands. This helped tremendously! We will be returning!"  --January 8, 2013

"As we did stay in the area for four day's, we had the opportunity to feel the consistency of your staff and conditions. We felt the quality of value offered in price, location and overall staff attention was excellent. We will return and recommend your property. Thank you for making our stay memorable."  --January 2, 2013
