If you are not wanting a nondescript chain hotel nor the "intimacy" of a bed and breakfast - this is a perfect play to stay. It has all the charm and friendliness of a small inn without the feeling of being in too-close-for comfort quarters. The location of Marshall House was perfect. Every place we wanted to see was within a short walk and there were so many excellent restaurants just a few blocks away from the hotel. It is located on fairly busy street with many different stores yet we had no issues with noise.A highlight of our stay were the happy hours which include either music or a history lecture. Everyone on staff went out of their way to make sure you had a wonderful vacation - and we did!
